Not a bad price for the Sea, I really thought would break 4k.

Does anyone know who the seller is? Is he a Rarities member?

All very good prices for cards of that condition. That sea would get at least a BGS9 from the scans. I think the seller isn't maximising his revenues here by putting out high value cards one after the other. The summer market is relatively small, and prices would inevitably fall as people run out of funds.

I think the sea would have gone higher had it been bgs graded. Since the 9.5 went for 4500 I think 3700 is reasonable for an ungraded card.

The seller is a she btw. From what I've heard she has an extensive Summer collection but will not deal outside of eBay on anything currently.

I'm hoping to get in on the Volcanic Island but I have to talk it over with the wife and I have a feeling it will be a resounding NO from her. So I may have to call in a favor.

That I'm not sure of. I'm guessing it will be pretty pricey though I know the one I picked up was probably the cheapest one in a long time. I'd expect it to go for no less the $7k. If it's mint $8500.

i guess it is not that intelligent selling that much high priced cards in a short period of time as the market is quite limited ...

The seller would have done much better if they listed 2 cards per week or 1 higher end summer card a week. There running all the Summer collectors out of money which is only hurting them.
