Serra Avenger was a promo for Champs.
As for if the proof exists, you'd better just ask the artist.

Just a note;

Artists did not always receive exactly 50 APs of each of their cards. There are cases of only 35 and as many as 69. I could speculate on the why of that but I might as well leave that up to each of you..... LOL.

Sad to say but that is true. It must be noted, however, that some that did valued them so little that they trashed them or lost them. Only later did some of them wake up to their value and say "OMG where did I put those--can't find any, must be that they never sent me any......."

That is, however, a different subject. What I was pointing out was that the process for supplying APs in the early days was not religiously followed. If I understood Jesper correctly the artists were not "promised" APs early on but it was a gratus thing from the company. Not part of the contract, so to speak. I'll try and remember to ask Chris Rush about that as he was the director for some time and probably would know.

I talked to Mark Tedin awhile back and Steve Prescott before that and they both said WOTC doesn't make artist proofs for promos much to my dismay when I was trying to get a Urza's Factory Champs Promo AP for my collection. So no AP's exist for Duel Decks, FTV's, Game Day, MPR, Prerelease and Release cards. I have heard conflicting reports about whether or not Judge Promo AP's exist though.

Several Judge Promo APs exist. Some other members can give you a complete list. I have the Grim Lavamancer in hand only.
