Value of shrink wrapped revised booster box

Post by lickaneye » Fri Aug 26, 2011 7:42 pm

What is the current value of a revised booster box?
I have a an aquaintance that is willing to sell his revised box to me and I'm thinking of starting negotiations at $650 for the box.
Too high or too low?
At what price does it become a definte buy and and what price should I defintely not buy?
I see four recent ebay auctions
ending at:

$1,001
$821
$800 (ended today a few mintues ago with 1 bid)
$781
$773

Of course these numbers are already slightly high because
there are still seller fees. Does anyone have any specific knowledge about the pricing of revised boxes?

I don't think these prices are high at all. Yes there are seller fees, but cards/packs/boxes sold directly from store to buyer usually sell higher than what you find on ebay because you get your product immediately and don't have to compete with several other bidders. That luxury is worth a premium.

I was offered 800 each for a couple of my boxes (I'm talking starter deck display boxes) and have decided to hold on to them.
