Price Check: Korean 5th Booster Packs
Hey Folks,
Curious on prices of these. Been a while since I have seen single 5th packs for sale. The last box of 5th I saw on eBay was around a year ago and iirc they did not sell due to the seller wanting a large amount of money for shipping.
Largest MTG set ever? I've heard stories of people opening multiple boxes and cracking one Brainstorm. Not sure how much money could be made by opening them as the returns on this set look really poor.
Thoughts?
Much Thanks,
John

I opened a handful of packs a while ago. Only thing I got was a birds. NO useful uncommons or commons. 132 rares so odds of grabbing a necro or such seem low. I'd think you would have to be paying very little to make it worth while to crack and even then if you got it cheap enough its probably better to resell sealed.

Exactly. I'm not sure what to offer for these and I feel a little compounded when taking into account the utterly ridiculous prices people charge for Korean Booster Packs. I spent a better part of two days trying to get PlayFirst Korea to go down on prices for Exodus Boosters (orig. wanted 40.00 each) the lowest he would go is 20.00 each. None of them have sold for the past 9 months.
I'd probably be willing to pay between 8-10 per booster for Korean 5th but I have a feeling the guy who has them is going to want an arm and a leg. Is 8-10 reasonable?

I wouldn't really be sure. The ones I picked up the store literally had around for years and years. He didn't even know what language they were. I was playing the "gamble for a necro" game and paid a few bucks each at best. I probably over paid, lol. I really hate opening sealed product.
Pickle did end up getting one of them still sealed because it had a shivan on it. I'm sure thats where the necro is ;p

Thank you Caquaa.
Anyone else have any input on this?
For the record this is the kind of stuff I'm talking about regarding sealed Korean prices. Not even close to accurate IMHO.

I remember Grandeur auctioning a booster box either end of last year, or early this year, and it ended in auction less than $200. Those are the only boosters I've seen for auction, so that's the only price I can go by. I feel it is low, but Grandeur's auctions always get alot of attention, so I guess that's what the market felt it was worth.
On another note, I purchased 16 Korean 5th starters at $25ea last year, so $8-10 per booster would certainly be fair in my opinion.

I don't have them yet. If I can get them from him for a realistic price I will crack them and anything on that list is yours.
