Badlands Summer Magic value?

Hi guys,

First of all, I'd like to thank Jon Masch, Len and Alexis for getting me on this forum, I've wanted to be here for a while now.

I guess you all saw the Badlands Summer Magic on eBay. From the picture that is available there, how would you grade it? I personally don't think it looks like a BGS 9, maybe 8.5 at best? The edges seem to be chipped a little at some places. What do you think?

Moreover, how much would you value a Lord of Atlantis Summer, considering it's NM?

I don't have one, I just know somebody who has one for sale, but it's not an auction on eBay.

Yea I would say it's a little dirty around the white edges like its been cleaned.
Could just be the scan though.
The last badlands I've seen on eBay was about two years ago and it went for $2,300.
Giving the prices have gone up for most summer to around 40% I would say it's ballpark worth is around $3,000 to $3,500.
Bottom line it's way too high priced.

Summer Lord prices are around $600 to $750.

The badlands is stupidly priced. LOA is higher than 650, will be somewhere in the 1000 range.

I think pricing a LOA at $1k is too high.
Not that wanted, wouldn't go over $800 for one.

Hi Clay,

Actually the guy in question seems to be out of reach, I can't even join him myself anymore. But in case I succeed, I would probably buy the LOA :P

Saw the scans, it's actually Excellent at best so I decided not to buy it...

Ya'll can PM me if you want to see the scans, but yeah, excellent condition on a friendly grade.

considering the fact that it's summer, I'd still want it for my collection, but the seller told me he is asking $3K for it.

I thought about asking if I got a unicorn ride with it for that price, but I kept the reply polite.
