Do you practice different techniques of the artists whose art you are extending? Or do you just wing it and occasionally screw up a card real bad?

Hmm, picking up the ol' paintbrush on today, the day of my BIRTHDAY! haha
Work in progress, just got the idea and didn't want it to go to waste.

I mean, what else does it copy in EDH? 90% of the time it is Gilded Lotus ...
