Thoughts on these? I tried to get rid of a few at MoTL prices listed from MagicCards.Info - ended up just getting spammed to death about the prices being bad so I took the post down.

Thanks in advance,

John

And what price did you list them as?

Sinkholes are beautiful, best set I have ever seen in person. I listed at 60.00 each.

Dark Rituals are not as bad as they look I would grade NM/NM- at the lowest; the biggest issue with them is the corners on two of them. It looks like the the bottom right corners on them were bent but it's not a bend. I'm not sure how or why they wore that way. I put those at 14.00 each.

The Counterspell is pack fresh I put that at 45.00.

The backs look fantastic on all of them.

These are beautiful cards and deserve to be on the high end of the price spectrum. $45 is probably too high for the counterspell, given that there's a PSA-8 up right now with a BIN of 27, but the prices you asked on the other 2 are reasonable. People on MOTL are just always looking for a deal, ignore them.

They aren't bad prices they're just retail. The Sinkholes may be a little bit high though.

I can imagine a typical response you received on MOTL:

Dark Ritual: $14 --> $8?
Counterspell: $45 --> free throwin with above

Haha.

Thanks guys.

I will probably drop the Sinkholes and Counterspell a bit however I'm pretty sure this would grade far better than a PSA 8; though that's my opinion and the centering is off. Haven't been too impressed with PSA grading lately as it seems to be getting really sloppy.

My advice would be to take them out of the sleeves and rescan to really do them justice. Dust from the sleeves and the sleeve edges themselves can distract from the beauty of a true NM/Mint card.

And if the backs are really that nice then show them off. I usually judge card condition more from the back than the front. People who just show fronts of cards only make me suspicious (not referring to you but in general).

Good Luck

I agree with this. I used back side card images as a grading scale reference for buyers in my ebay store. I don't always scan the backside for items (unless expensive), but I do use it to grade. Especially important for gauging the condition of WB cards of value (like Unl and P3K).

I've posted seven sinkholes (6 UL, 1 BE) on MOTL for approximately four years now and they have never sold. (I only get offers from idiots looking at 2-years-old sale lists with outdated prices).

Agree and agree. Very good points in my thinking.

Here's some new pictures. If anyone is interested let me know. Gonna post them on MoTL also.
