New filler?
I think we may have a new filler on our hands, but I just want to see what people know about this card. Here is a link: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/ ... 020650.jpg
Okay, so I had another forum member ask me about it (magic321), and it is his card scan. I, too, have one & can make a scan. The left 90% is foil, the right 10% is plain white. The reverse is a normal, centered back. My copy has been in my hands since before they changed the foil "look," so I am to assume it may be from the same period that both came from. Somewhere around Invasion, give or take.
Thoughts are appreciated!

I have a couple of those too. I hadn't really considered them a "filler" since my source was a Wizards employee. Apparently they were used internally, or at least for casual play in-house, as proxies. I think the white is just the edge of the sheet. It isn't regular in size or location - I have one with a white border on the side and one on the bottom. I had no reason to believe these were ever produced as a filler on a sheet of normal cards, or officially distributed in packs. Do you have reason to think otherwise?

I had no idea what the source of the card was. I just assumed they came out of packs by accident.

Oh wow, thank you Josef. I never would have found that had you not pointed that out to me. That is a big help.

I own about 20-25 of these (most being all-foil, but some with white stripes on the egdes like the one scanned), but to be honest these were given to me almost for free by some guy who claimed they were very easy to make using some solvents and such.
I did not understand whether he was saying he'd actually made them himself, but he certainly didn't value them very much and it's weird he was holding so many.
So surely this is originally a real Filler (or test print I would say), but unfortunately easily replicable apparently.

Possibly using an eraser (I know you can make BB bordered cards WB using a normal rubber eraser like the onese you use with pencils) ?gzeiger wrote:I don't see how you can manufacture one with a white border.
However I'm really not sure, as I mentioned I haven't made these myself or seen these made, it's just curious I found so many from the same source at close to nothing...
