Has anyone ever seen anything like this on a Revised card? I can't imagine it came out of the pack that way.

It looks to me like it is quite possible unless 3rd edition printing was different than some of the things we have gotten after that:
I have had these for a Looooong time and am I think they came out of boosters but do not know what the card order was on plates at the time. It could have happened later.

I know this doesn't help, but hypothetically speaking, if one were able to view this card before purchasing/bidding, I would check the side of the card to ensure it is uncolored.
I wonder if the seller would be willing to stick the card between several other cards and take a photo of the sides of said stack of cards.

That would be a good question to ask. I have, and have opened, a fair number of blotched cards like Gary posted. None have ever had the blotch extend into the border as this Savannah does. Usually it's a blotch of missing color. The Sakura-Tribe Elders with the pink headband are the only ones I can think of that have ever really had color added like this.

I'm going with Gary on this one. The blotch on the 2 shown doesn't show anything in the boarder. The only way to know if this is real or some highlighter job is to look at the side of the card and see if there's blue on the edge.mystical_tutor wrote:Is it my old eyes or only my imagination? It appears to me that this blotch on these two cards goes across the border and connects...

Gary, if you're referring to the Llanowar Elves and Tundra Wolves, the splotches do indeed connect. This has been the case with all others I've seen. A spot on the printing plate didn't get a particular color of ink, resulting in a partial albino due to a traped air bubble more or less. I have up to five cards from CHK that share the same large blotch. In all cases it does not extend into the border due to being a lack of pigment rather than overlaid color.

I know the person who won the auction. I saw it in person, and am not convinced that it is real. It may be, but given how easily this could be made, I am glad I didn't win it.

At this point if the Savannah was real wouldn't we see more blue blotched revised cards by this time? fvzappa if you know the owner check the edge of the card to see if the blue bleed into the edge similar to what you check for if a card is marketed. If so then the blue spots did not happen when the image was printed on the card.
