Innistrad Wolf Tokens
OK, two-parts to this thread.
While looking to buy another Wolf token like the one I received at the Innistrad Prerelease, I found that there was a Wolf/Human flip token that had been given with FNM. Does anyone know what month these Wolf/Human flip tokens were first given out?
Also, were the Wolf tokens given out at the Innistrad Prerelease in any way different from the tokens in the Innistrad boosters? IIRC, they had a different advertisement back - Gary maybe you can answer this one.

This is from memory, so someone will have to fact check.
The wolf prerelease tokens had the advertisement about becoming a judge on the back. Nothing different on the front. Not sure if that advertisement was available on a pack token or not.
The human/wolf token was given out on friday the 13th so checking a calendar I'm thinking April. January and July had a friday the 13th too, but had to have been further back than July and Jan seems too far.

That was an FNM promo.

Clay;
I have 3 non booster pack Wolf tokens. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. At the pre release there were two given out and one at FNM.
The pre-release are quite easy to identify as it says Magic JUDGE on the back of each.
sorry, got to run to make my Tee time.

yvel, yeah, I am tracking all of those other tokens, too. I don't mind them too much as long as they keep doing them double-sided or they have something on the bottom right after the number that let's us collectors know it's a promotional version. Speaking of...
Gary, when you have a chance, please take a look at the bottom of the Wolf token and let us know if it has anything on it (i.e. Launch Party, Prerelease, etc).

Nah, it was innistrad prerelease:

according to this website there were two advertisements on the back, but I only recall there being one. Hrm!
I have some of these laying around somewhere, but they'll be difficult to tell apart from the others w/o researching each one.

Now that things have slowed down to about 80 in a 40 zone.
here is what I have:
yes, it was the Innistrad prerelease even though one of the backs sure reminds one of New Pheraxia...
In reality the wolf is the back side as it is numbered T1b FNM with the human numbered T1a. The other two carry the same number as the green wolf token for Innistrad, 12/12.
OBTW, these came 5 each in a ten token packet for the prerelease.
I hope this helps.

Humm, not sure what you mean. This wolf picture is the same as the regular Innistrad (green) wolf token picture. It is just that these two cards are unique to the prerelease and were never included in booster tips or tokens.yvel wrote:Right
So There is no wolf prlz token.
It s the same as the regular one (12/12)
These are actually prerelease promos and not tip/token cards.
For me they are included in my prelease sets just like the tattoos, helvault cards and other miscellaneous stuff that comes out from time to time.
As a promo card they are the same category as the Angle/Demon token in the Helvault even if they are much less desireable.
I did include them in my Innistrad t/t sheet some time back but more to just document their existence than to categorize them
