Also this picture below, I can't find what card it comes from and the artist does not get a name check on the booster either for some reason... can anyone name that card? I have had a look but I haven't turned up anything and I am not familiar with all the cards in the set
This is Nissa Revane illustration by Jaime Jones that was supposed to be used on the Zendikar Fat Pack:

But according to Jeremy Jarvis (Art Director):
I commissioned this piece for the fatpack from Jaime, but things had to be swapped around in another dept and the Dan Scott Kor needed to be used for the fat pack. But at least you get a helluva wallpaper! Smile

The first set translated to Simplified Chinese was 5th Edition (with V symbol).
I thought it was Portal?
I don't have the precised date of the release of Portal Simplified Chinese (in the subsection it says 1998-11 same as Fifth Edition), do you have more info about it ? Also, when I added the info on the first page, it was mainly towards Core Set Editions and Expansions not Special Sets
(Beginner Sets).

Update to Samplers

Not much to add, I don't collect them as they do not have random contents. I only have eight.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3z_eB ... sp=sharing

7th Edition (Thorn Elemental illustration rk post) ?
8th Edition (Elvish Champion illustration Mark Zug) ?
9th Edition (Serra Angel illustration Greg Staples) ?

Not sure why the ? but these are all correct!

9th Edition (Serra Angel illustration Greg Staples) ?
Made in E.U. : English, French, German, Italian
Made in USA: English
To be verified: Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese
Existence: English (Dutch Rules), Portuguese, Spanish
Doesn't exist: Korean, Traditional Chinese
Having said that I don't collect them, I am always happy to get a few extra.

I will get around to presenting them properly but there will be more gaps than boosters and that doesn't look like it will change.

The question mark indicates the number of languages existing, so whenever it is not known, it will be there

Ok, now I understand.

Do you have pictures of the two Italian ninth samplers with different variations? I don't collect them but I do like varients. I see some for sale on MCM so I will try and pick both up.

I will scan them whenever I have time, unfortunately 1 of the 2 that I own is opened so I need to find a sealed one (last time I've checked only one version was available on MCM, also on a constant basis they mix Sampler with Demo Booster)

Thanks, I have updated my wish list with the "Made in USA" boosters and I have changed the Field Guide to reflect the gap!

Also whilst digging through all the other boosters that I have to scan I came across another sampler

Image

Eighth Edition Italian Sampler.

So I have updated the very small Sampler Field Guide as well.

Cheers
Mark

I nearly had the Japanese boosters, I was in Tokyo in Akihabara in a Magic Shop and they had the boosters for about $30 each, not sure how many they had because my wife was with me and I didn't want to give her any clues that I might be overspending on this hobby.

I will dig out the Portuguese boosters and see if I can find my Spanish boosters which I claim to have somewhere.
