Re: MTG Portal Opera Glasses?!? WTF???
The portal glasses are cardboard and plastic and were store promos in '97. I picked up a pair on ebay in '98 for a few bucks and actually never opened them. A rare oddity nowadays as I haven't seen them at all since I bought them.berkumps wrote:What on earth is this?

In my not so humble opinion regarding rarities, the rest is really nice(Mox Diamond set- good 'global' set of cards to have), somewhat unnecessary (Japanese Chronicles- BB cards- only like 10 of them have ever really seen the light of day in decks) or not really worth the cost (Citadel tokens-plain, plastic and ugly is no way to go through life).
The Portal Glasses (binoculars, really) were also given out at various conventions... or maybe I was just sent some as prize support because I am so darned handsome. Anyway, they were free to everyone.
That said, things that are free aren't saved by many people, so these might now be worth some money now.
Best regards,
Rainsford
