It seems that the member list has been hit by a bot in the last several days that is auto-generating accounts with fictitious names.
I hope someone is listening. Check the member list now!

It's been weeks since it started. Fortunately the forum was not spammed and none of us had problems.

Yes, I'm aware of this, that's why keeping the activation of accounts, the way it is, is the best thing. Any clues, of how, I can prevent this multiple bot spamming?

Maybe increased security with one of those 'captcha' boxes to weed out the bots.

softwares like senuke and xrumer are used to spam forums and blogs in order to create backlinks, maybe there is some software-plugin that can identify them

Hi Members
While 25000 bots accounts have been deleted, another 20000+, exist. I asked my webmaster to take them off, but he told me, that there's might be a risk, deleting another 20000 with Zero post, so whenever I can, I delete some of them one by one, no need to mention how hateful, is it to do this as it's so long and boring...
