Forum Errors

Post by mintcollector » Wed May 03, 2006 5:12 pm

For the second time now, I have seen this error:
Warning: mysql_connect(): User v083155 has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /www/htdocs/v083155/phpBB2/db/mysql4.php on line 48

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /www/htdocs/v083155/phpBB2/db/mysql4.php on line 330

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /www/htdocs/v083155/phpBB2/db/mysql4.php on line 331
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database
Both times I have sent it to Ralph to give him a heads up. Ralph wants to know who else has ever seen this? He agrees with my theory that the spammers and bots may be a possible cause of this, or maybe just a lot of lurking. He is going to ask the websapce provider to look into this, but if anyone else has seen ths, please state so as this may help track down a possible problem.

I got the message twice yesterday when I tried to log on. If I see it again I'll be sure to track the exact times. Until yesterday I had never seen it.

Well i guess putting down the approxiamate time and date would help. I sent emails to Ralph right after getintg the errors, so:

4/25/06 2:48pm Central Standard Time

and crap, my home email address was the other one over a weekend where I do not have history on it. I do know it was before 4/25 though.

Also I am glad someone else has seen it, because Ralph never has. I was beginning to think that he thought it was me. :)

Google is (or was) probably spidering the forum or something...

Latest update

Post by silver.paladin » Tue May 09, 2006 12:32 am

Don't know if this was done on purpose or not, or just an over-sight, but the latest update for JSS and MPR has the scans; but then are not located in the index at the time of this writing.

silver-paladin: It is nice to have you back. I do not understand your error report, though. Please elaborate.

When I wrote this, the images were up, but on the index page, there was nothing added at that time (now I see that it is). When I had written that, the Royal Assassin 'was' the last item listed on the index, not the Phoenix.
And with the MPR, Pyroclasm was the last item on the index, now I see that the Putrefy is.

Maybe it was just a timing issue with the update perhaps?

silver.paladin: I had definitely updated everything together. Anyway, it has not been a lasting problem.
